Belfast
Well, 45 minutes anyway
Thanks to the Aer Lingus airplane strike
which happens to happen the weekend of my flight from Dublin to Scotland's Glasgow.
So I have to
change plans and planes. My only option is to take a train to Belfast,
and catch a flight to Glasgow. So I'm able to swing by Belfast for about
half an hour, taking a cab from the train station to the airport.

Cab ride from the train station to the airport: The
cathedral is just behind the trees, honest. OK, at least it's a nice day
in Belfast, which is possible as you can see.
Now, it's not really fair to judge a city from a
cab ride to the airport. But I did just wanna show you that Belfast isn't
the total war zone you always see on TV. The taxi cab driver bristles
when I comment it seems safe, saying that the violence is only in certain West
parts of the city, while the city center is generally OK. So, while I
didn't really do the city properly, at least I can see other images of Belfast
other than war zones.

OK, that was quick. Then I fly to
Scotland's Glasgow.

Chilling at the airport. See, no legions of armed guards.

See, no bomb smoke or tanks.
