Stonehenge
IT'S ROCKS
We just don't know what Stonehenge was for exactly.
Stonehenge
It's still the biggest mystery.  Theories range from ancient clock to Merlin's magic, and alien landing site.  The sun does line up through the arches each month, boosting credibility of the ancient clock theory.  But then again, the surrounding English
countryside is known for myseriously appearing crop circles (like in Mel Gibson's Signs), helping out the Area 51 theory...

We do know that the structure dates to a few thousand years BC and was built in two or three phases of stone rings, but we don't know why.  Burial mounds were found surrounding the stones and in the nearby fields; so it could have doubled as burial ground.

After visiting Stonehenge; my tour bus heads to the nearby Roman ruin town of Bath.
